AWARE is a conference started by women for women. Originally held in 1985 at Geneva Park Lodge (near Orillia), other AWARE conferences have also been held in Ontario, Québec and the area of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador. This site provides information about AWARE events that take place in Montreal, each year.
Note: There is a similar conference for men – scroll down to the bottom of the page to find out more.
Purpose:
To help encourage and deepen the spiritual growth of Christian women.
Goal:
To create an environment that gives opportunity for women to:
- Experience a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Learn about and experience the empowering of the Holy Spirit.
- Be instructed and encouraged to grow in the faith.
- Experience healing of the total person — body, soul and spirit.
- Experience creative corporate worship.
- Help discover gifts and encourage leadership amongst the laity.
- Interact and share with women from other parishes.
- Be refreshed and renewed.
